Ulna

The ulna, along with the radius, is found in the antebrachium between the humerus and the carpus.

Important features of the ulna:

1-Olecranon Tuber: a PALPABLE tuber on the proximal aspect of the ulna

2-Anconeal Process: a prominence on the proximal end of the TROCHLEAR NOTCH

3-Trochlear Notch: a cranial facing concave arc between the ANCONEAL PROCESS and the CORONOID PROCESSES. This structure articulates with the humeral TROCHLEA

4-Medial Coronoid Process: a process on the distomedial end of the TROCHLEAR NOTCH

5-Lateral Styloid Process: a PALPABLE, distal process

6-Lateral Coronoid Process: a process on the distolateral end of the TROCHLEAR NOTCH; The LATERAL CORONOID PROCESS is smaller than the MEDIAL CORONOID PROCESS

7-Olecranon: a general term for the proximal extremity that includes OLECRANON TUBER and ANCONEAL PROCESS
