Sesamoid bones associated with the distal thoracic limb.

There is one DORSAL SESAMOID BONE (#30) at the level of the metacarpophalangeal joint of digits 2-5, on the DORSAL surface.

There are two PROXIMAL SESAMOID BONES (#29) at the level of the metacarpophalangeal joint of digits 2-5.
There is one PROXIMAL SESAMOID BONE (#29) at the level of the metacarpophalangeal joint of digit 1. Proximal sesamoid bones are on the PALMAR surface of the joint.

There is a SESAMOID IN ABDUCTOR DIGITI 1 LONGUS (#31) muscle in the medial carpus.
